Key Responsibilities

Investment Portfolio Management

• Develop and manage the bank's investment portfolio, ensuring optimal returns while mitigating risks.
• Conduct detailed market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities in various sectors, including SMEs, real estate, and agribusiness.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of investment portfolios, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, including individuals, businesses, and institutional investors.
• Understand client needs and provide tailored investment advice and financial solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all investment-related inquiries.

Deal Structuring and Execution

• Originate, structure, and execute investment deals, including equity, debt, and hybrid instruments.
• Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure all deals meet regulatory and legal requirements.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Financial Analysis and Advisory

• Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation, and feasibility studies to support investment decisions.
• Provide strategic financial advice to clients and stakeholders on investment opportunities.
• Prepare and present investment proposals and reports to the bank's management and board.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all investment activities comply with the regulatory framework set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other relevant authorities.
• Stay updated on changes in regulatory policies and advise the bank on potential impacts on investment strategies.

Risk Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with investment activities.
• Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the bank's assets and client investments.

Business Development

• Identify new business opportunities to expand the bank's investment banking services.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and deepen relationships with existing ones.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or ICAN are an added advantage.
• Minimum of [3 years] experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related role, preferably within the microfinance or financial services sector.
