    Human Resource Manager

    Qualification

    • A first degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional certification in HR (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) is needed.

    Experience 

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR and administration, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in the agricultural, manufacturing sector or working in rural settings is an added advantage.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified farm workers and staff.
    • Conduct interviews, background checks, and reference verifications.
    • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training.
    • Develop and implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate staff performance.
    • Provide guidance to supervisors on performance management and employee development.
    • Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
    • Promote a positive work environment and foster teamwork among staff.
    • Identify training needs and organise training programs to enhance staff skills and productivity.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian Labor laws and regulations.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with company standards and legal requirements.
    • Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure confidentiality.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR software.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

    • Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
    • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
    • Leadership and team management skills.
    • Understanding of the agricultural sector and its unique HR challenges.
