Job Overview
The Human Resources Manager will lead the strategic and operational HR functions of the company, ensuring the attraction, development, and retention of top talent. The role involves designing and implementing HR policies, managing talent acquisition, driving performance management, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring full compliance with Nigerian labor laws and real estate industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Management
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Advise executive leadership on people-related matters and organizational development initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for site-based and office-based roles.
- Oversee effective onboarding, orientation, and integration processes for new hires.
Performance Management & Employee Development
- Implement and manage a robust performance management system.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs to build workforce capability.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment across office and site locations.
- Address grievances and disciplinary matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize staff engagement activities and welfare programs to boost morale.
Compensation & Benefits
- Review and maintain competitive remuneration and benefits structures.
- Oversee payroll, statutory deductions, benefits administration, and leave management.
Policy Development & Compliance
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws, HSE requirements, and industry-specific regulations.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate regular HR performance reports.
- Use HR data to improve recruitment efficiency, retention, and workforce planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) preferred.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience (real estate or construction industry experience is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, HR best practices, and HSE compliance.
- Proven track record in recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical judgment.
- Proficiency in HR software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
