    Head of Marketing

    The "Head of Dept." management title and level means you will be responsible for the leadership and management (results, people, culture) of a department or function which will typically be a global team. You will be managing major program/processes and be accountable for the performance and results. You will be responsible for decisions that may impact multiple departments and are guide using your expertise and precedents.  

    You can will directly contribute to the development of department or functional strategies and establishes near-term plans for the team and align with the function’s operational plans. Head of Departments will need to build alignment in leading cross functional relationships and align work plans to maximise efficiencies and performance. With communication you will need to articulate compelling messages to ensure a clear understanding of KingMaker initiatives by the team. Great performance will depend on your guidance and influence of others internally and externally as appropriate and the conversion of technical information to compelling business context and advice. You will use internal and external resources to solve complex problems, which have a cascading impact. Always ensure you can identify expected problems on the horizon, and have a mitigation plan in place for these challenges. 

    What You Will Be Doing:  

    • Lead the online business for BetKing in Nigeria and deliver on defined KPIs.  
    • Create and execute engagement and performance marketing Strategy to drive online acquisition and revenue mandates for the company.
    • Manage Bonus Spends and guarantee an ROI  
    • Lead Analytical initiatives toward increasing business visibility, such as  
      • LTV   
      • CAC   
      • Advanced Statistical Modules – Churn, Next Best Actions, Clustering, and Customer Segmentation  
      • Manage Martech tools – Budgeting, Agreements, and Technical Setup   
      • Drive a retention strategy through CRM to further improve retention rates YoY. 
      • Marketing Attribution – Google Analytics,   
      • Automation & APIs focused on Marketing  
      • Meet Business goals related to:   
        • Customer Acquisition   
        • User Base Growth  
        • Revenue Growth  
        • Profit Growth.   
    • Define objectives for the Marketing function in collaboration with the members of the leadership team and key stakeholders of the organization.  
    • Build and execute, through your team & product teams a multi-year product marketing strategy to help improve the success of our product in the market. As a key product owner and stakeholder, you’ll drive the following.   
      • Category positioning and Product/Market fit strategy 
      • Product, Solution, Industry and Competitive Intelligence 
      • Product Messaging and Value Proposition 
      • Audience framework and Personas 
      • Technical Marketing (Trials, ROI calculator, maturity, and capability index) 
      • GTM content packaging, enablement, and activation  
    • Define, build, and execute the PR and Corporate Communications strategy that’ll enhance BetKing’s brand positioning and equity within its operating regions.   
    • Own and manage internal communications, engagement, and programs strategy to ensure stakeholders and informed and engaged accordingly and key talents are retained.   
    • Own the entire budget for driving all marketing efforts across the verticals and manage the tracking and budget spend reporting.   
    • Coach, manage and empower the team members within the marketing organization of the business to succeed in their roles and deliver the marketing and commercial outcome. The key functions are; 
      • Performance Marketing/ CRM/ SEO/ social media 
      • Data Analytics/ Data Science   
      • Brand, Product Marketing & Media 
      • BTL & Events 
      • Marketing Analytics   
    • Instil a culture of practice, performance, and data orientation through consistent project management across social media, web, chat, content, and video assets 
    • Own and Create brand Playbooks for engagement and executions. 

    What You Need for This Role:  

    • Demonstrated track record of delivering on growth metrics, such as web traffic, leads, client conversions, and revenue generation.  
    • Understanding how to manage a complex portfolio of products with multiple brands, customer audiences, and conversion funnels.  
    • Strong experience driving PR and Corporate communications strategies and programs to deliver strong brand equity and positioning impact.  
    • Experience managing a budget and making trade-off decisions between marketing programs based on quantitative analysis and product outcomes 
    • Strong project management capability and detail orientation 
    • Experience growing passionate user or developer communities in order to catalyse market adoption of technologies 
    • Ability to effectively manage a complex, remote-first team with a diverse set of backgrounds, opinions, and working styles
    • A collaborative approach to working with senior stakeholders with a variety of reasoned views and expectations
    • Ability to leverage a professional network to achieve business objectives and grow the team as the business matures
    • Understanding of the real money gaming ecosystem and a view toward how to drive acquisition and retention campaigns. 
    • Strong writing and editing skills and a view around coherent visual identity
