Executive Role Overview

• We are seeking a high-calibre and results-driven Head of Information Technology (IT) to provide enterprise-wide leadership of the organization’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation agenda.
• This role is a senior leadership position responsible for aligning technology with business priorities across the Group’s operations in mining, energy, and manufacturing.
• The successful candidate will drive innovation, optimize IT systems, and ensure a secure, resilient, and scalable technology environment that supports business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise IT Strategy & Digital Transformation:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with corporate objectives and growth plans
• Lead digital transformation initiatives across core business units and corporate functions
• Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitive advantage
• Provide strategic advisory to Executive Management on technology investments and innovation

IT Governance, Operations & Infrastructure:

• Provide oversight of enterprise IT operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of systems
• Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure projects, including network optimization, cloud adoption, and systems integration
• Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks, standards, and policies
• Ensure effective management of IT assets across their lifecycle

Cybersecurity & Risk Management;

• Develop and implement robust information security frameworks to safeguard organizational data and systems
• Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risks
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversee security audits, penetration testing, and incident response protocols

Business Continuity & Resilience:

• Design and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Ensure resilience of IT systems to support uninterrupted business operations

Leadership & Organizational Development:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the IT function
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team
• Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and service providers
• Lead contract negotiations and ensure delivery of high-quality services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align IT services with business needs

Financial Management & Optimization:

• Develop and manage the IT budget in line with strategic priorities
• Monitor IT expenditure and drive cost optimization initiatives
• Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of technology resources

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Master’s degree or relevant certifications is an added advantage)
• 10–15 years’ progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience leading IT strategy and transformation in complex, multi-entity or industrial environments
• Strong expertise in enterprise infrastructure, systems architecture, and cybersecurity frameworks
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and large-scale enterprise applications
• Strong commercial and strategic acumen with the ability to align IT initiatives with business outcomes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and decision-making capability
