    Head of Food & Beverage (F&B)

     Industry: Hospitality / Beach Resort
     Employment Type: Full-Time (Onsite)
     Monthly Salary: ₦300,000 – ₦400,000
     Work Schedule: 6 Days a Week (1 Day Off)
     Accommodation: Provided

    Job Overview

    A leading beach resort in Lekki is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Food & Beverage (F&B) to oversee and coordinate all F&B operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with proven experience in operational leadership, marketing, business development, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a resort or hotel setting.

    This role is critical in ensuring consistent food quality, operational efficiency, cost control, and overall guest satisfaction across all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, lounges, and event catering services.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic & Operational Management

    • Develop and implement F&B strategies aligned with the resort’s business objectives.
    • Oversee daily operations of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, lounges, and events.
    • Coordinate seamlessly between kitchen, service, and bar teams to maintain smooth workflow and high service standards.

    Menu Development & Quality Control

    • Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to design innovative menus reflecting guest preferences and seasonal trends.
    • Ensure food taste, presentation, portioning, and overall quality meet the resort’s standards.
    • Conduct regular menu reviews and recommend improvements based on customer feedback, cost analysis, and profitability.

    Staff Supervision & Training

    • Recruit, train, and manage F&B staff including waiters, bartenders, chefs, and kitchen assistants.
    • Monitor staff performance and conduct periodic evaluations.
    • Foster a professional, collaborative, and service-oriented work culture.

    Marketing & Business Development

    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote F&B services, events, theme nights, and seasonal offers.
    • Develop initiatives to drive guest traffic, repeat business, and revenue growth.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, corporate clients, and partners.

    Budgeting & Financial Management

    • Prepare and manage budgets for food, beverages, and operational expenses.
    • Monitor revenue, track daily sales, and produce performance reports.
    • Implement inventory control procedures and minimize waste.

    Compliance & Hygiene Standards

    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections of kitchens, dining, and storage areas; implement corrective actions when needed.
    • Promote a culture of cleanliness and safety among all F&B staff.

    Customer Service & Guest Experience

    • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by ensuring outstanding service delivery.
    • Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, providing timely solutions.
    • Continuously seek ways to enhance the guest dining experience.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Minimum HND or B.Sc in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience in a senior F&B leadership role, preferably in a beach resort or hotel environment.
    • Strong business acumen with proven ability to drive revenue and operational efficiency.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of current F&B trends, menu development, and pricing strategies.
    • Familiarity with inventory management systems, POS technology, and reporting tools.
    • Strong understanding of Nigerian food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
    • Ability to manage multiple teams and outlets while maintaining high service standards.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Monthly Salary: ₦300,000 – ₦400,000
