Head, Human Resources at Stresert Services Limited

Our client who is a multinational pharmaceutical/nutraceutical manufacturing company is looking to hire an experienced Head, Human Resources for its business operations in Lagos.

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop strategies and establish policies related to:

• Management of manpower needs
• New employee recruitment process
• Preparation of employee training and development programs
• Preparation of employee career paths (promotions, transfers, demotions)
• Ensuring company regulations are in accordance with the law
• Employee performance management
• Company organizational development
• Preparation of remuneration program
• Drafting company regulations

DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES

• Oversee the working environment, company culture and coordination between various departments.
• Conduct employee development programs and employee engagement programs.
• Coordinate with other departments.

QUALIFICATION & SKILL

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize strategic ideas
• Strong leadership skills to guide an HR team and support and motivate staff
• A solid understanding of the key principles of employment/labour laws
• The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts
• Knowledge of the relevant computer systems and software programs e.g. HRSmart software
• Solid ethics, morals and sound judgement

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Human resources or a related field, such as finance, business management, education or information technology
• Masters’ degree is preferable
• Professional certification in HR is a must
• Proven HR generalist experience of 8 – 12 years is required
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills is required together with proven leadership capabilities and solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application
