Food and Beverage Manager at Gran Melia Hotel

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and managing all activities within the foods and beverages department in the hotel while ensuring an excellent quality of food, drinks and all-round service for our guests.
Job duties

• Oversee all restaurant, bar and kitchen activities, facilities, expenses and sales to ensure maximum departmental profit.
• Develop and maintain an effective shift work system within the department
• Train and manage all staff and daily activities within the F & B department
• Monitor food and beverage supplies and place orders as necessary
• Maintain positive customer relationship, respond to customer needs and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints
• Collaborate with chefs, waiters, waitresses, bartenders, etc. to maintain a high quality of food and beverage service
• Research and implement customer feedback channels to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Keep abreast of F&B trends or practices, implement positive policies and ensure compliance with food and safety regulations.
• Monitor and prepare timely reports on all activities within the F&B department
• Additional duties as requested

Skills & Qualifications

• Education level: At least HND, OND or Bachelor’s degree
• Proven experience in foods and beverage management or within the hospitality industry
• Must be detail oriented, extremely organized and solutions oriented.
• Must be able to successfully manage a team
• Must possess great customer service and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical, reporting, organizational and time management
• Excellent verbal and communications skills
