Finance & Account Officer at Arksego Nigeria Limited

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Account Officer in Lagos. The Account Officer will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare and post daily vouchers & other source documents.
• Matching of receipts to receivables
• Filing of Documents for easy retrieval & ensuring that source documents are kept safely and securely
• Update daily bills and records, cross-check invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy.
• Posting of daily transactions (Income & Expenditure) using accounting Package, daily entries, bookkeeping, filing of vouchers and monthly journals. Updating the financial system daily and ensuring they are duly supported with appropriate documentation.
• Maintain the accounting filing system of the organisation.
• Ensure that all statutory remittances are paid on or before due dates.
• Imprest system management - Monitor office expenses, disburse payments, posting & Filing.
• Issue monthly invoices to clients and post them on the general ledger to capture revenue. (Invoice Checklist).
• Assist in the collation and filing of statutory returns, not limited to: PAYE, PENSION, PENCOM, NHF, NSITF etc.

Qualifications

• A degree in a BSc. Accounting is required
• Professional qualification in Accounting
• 2 – 4 years of professional experience in any industry.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English and strong interpersonal communication skills
• Good working experience with accounting package - Sage
• Motivation to achieve high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Strong skills on Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
