    Event Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Events Manager to lead the execution, operational excellence, team performance, and financial success of a key portion of corporate event portfolio.
    • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, financial management, and project execution skills, ensuring that strategic directives from the Head of Events are translated into flawless delivery.
    • This role requires a professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, makes high-impact operational decisions, and consistently delivers exceptional client experiences.

    Key Responsibilities
    Operational Strategy & Execution Direction:

    • Lead the development and implementation of detailed operational strategies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control frameworks for all events.
    • Translate strategic goals into clear, actionable, and measurable execution plans for the event operations team.
    • Oversee the full lifecycle of the events portfolio — from concept refinement and planning to execution, delivery, and post-event evaluation.
    • Independently evaluate, recommend, and integrate event technology solutions and systems that enhance team efficiency and client satisfaction.
    • Exercise decision-making authority on critical operational matters including budget reallocations, vendor management, and on-site issue resolution.

    Financial Management & Portfolio P&L:

    • Take full ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L) performance for the assigned events portfolio, proactively driving cost efficiencies and revenue optimization.
    • Manage and control individual event budgets with autonomy, providing summarized financial reports and variance analyses to the Head of Events.
    • Negotiate and finalize contracts with venues and general suppliers within established financial parameters.
    • Oversee event financial reconciliations and prepare comprehensive monthly P&L reports and performance metrics for executive review.

    Team Leadership & Mentorship:

    • Directly supervise, mentor, and coach team members, ensuring clarity of roles, expectations, and performance outcomes.
    • Manage departmental workflows including task delegation, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure optimal productivity and balanced workloads.
    • Identify talent development needs and implement training or professional development programs to enhance internal capability and overall service quality.

    Senior Stakeholder & Risk Management

    • Serve as the primary management-level point of contact for high-value clients throughout the execution phase, ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
    • Hold independent authority to approve and activate contingency plans in response to operational, safety, or logistical risks during events.
    • Review and sign off on key event deliverables — including floor plans, menus, and speaker logistics — ensuring complete alignment with our client's quality standards before execution.

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration. A Master’s degree or recognized certification (CMP, CSEP) is a strong advantage.
    • Experience: 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in the events industry, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity overseeing teams and holding direct P&L accountability.
    • Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to independently manage large-scale projects, make strategic decisions under pressure, and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
    • Financial Acumen: Strong expertise in P&L reporting, cost management, and complex contract negotiation.
    • Leadership & Mentorship: Proven record of successfully leading teams, driving collaboration, and fostering a high-performance culture.
