    Employee Experience Lead

    Description

    • Brass is building a new kind of company to support local businesses and businesspeople. Our goal is to help everyone in their pursuit of economic freedom. We are new and rethinking for better everything so we can make life simpler, better for business people. To do this correctly, we need to have the best people and support them to do their best work.
    • This has to be deliberate, in fact and we are thus, looking for a smart person to join our Employee Experience team to help us through our people, culture and make Brass an even more high performance team where everyone is truly happy.

    Role

    • As the Employee Experience Lead, you will be responsible for helping to find, attract, develop, motivate and retain the team at Brass. You will act as a champion for the company culture and will support the company executives and team leads, allowing the company to develop and grow quickly. In this role you will be responsible for all employee experience related activities.
    • As a strategic partner to the leadership team, you will create a clear and compelling strategy to enhance the employee experience at Brass, and execute lasting changes.
    • You will be empowered to take an entrepreneurial approach to communications and learning—meaning you can set a high-level strategy and are also willing to get hands-on with the details.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop a remarkable and superior onboarding experience for candidates and new hires from their job application until they are hired, through their first 90 days at the company.
    • Develop learning and growth plan and execute for our employees.
    • Create great employee engagement programs to keep our people happy and appreciated.
    • Develop a superior employer brand to help us attract the best people everywhere.
    • Work closely with our Operations to get our people the tools and resources they need to do their best work.
    • Manage a comprehensive communications strategy to drive engagement, instil confidence and trust, and inspire employees around Brass strategy by leveraging different mediums.

    About You

    • Have at least a Bachelor's Degree with more than 3+ years experience in people or human resources role.
    • Significant experience working directly with senior executives. You have a demonstrated ability to influence and build high-impact partnerships.
    • A willingness to be proactive, are employee-centric and are able to create an environment of open communications and learning.
    • Track record of being resourceful with an eye for detail, an excellent writer, visual communicator, and project manager.
    • Experience growing and managing a high performing team
    • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and leadership programs with skills in assessing and measuring effectiveness
    • Process and project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
    • Have a strong preference for working with great tools and be comfortable working with or learning the tools we use.
    • Have a system for staying organised and a good head for numbers
    • Have diverse interests and enjoy learning about other people’s interests
    • Have deliberate opinions on matters of aesthetics
    • Listen with patience, attention, and empathy
    • Have a sense of humour (doesn’t have to be a good one)
    • Prefer quality items, but be able to recognise extravagance.
