    E-Commerce Sales Associate

    About the Role

    • We’re hiring a sharp, resourceful E-commerce Sales Associate to power SunFi’s direct-to-customer sales engine. This is a hybrid role at the intersection of sales, operations, and data,  not a script-based call center position. You'll manage the frontlines of our inbound funnel: qualifying leads, holding intelligent solar conversations, tracking data across CRM tools, and ensuring no opportunity slips through the cracks. You’ll work closely with the Platform Strategy & Ops Manager to translate digital interest into revenue, and design scalable, repeatable sales processes in the process.
    • This role is critical to SunFi’s e-commerce strategy. Speed, accuracy, and ownership matter.

    Responsibilities:

    • Qualify inbound leads from forms, WhatsApp, social, and phone. Match customers with the right product tiers based on power needs, budgets, and constraints.
    • Guide customers through system selection, payment plan discussion, and objection handling, over phone and chat.
    • Maintain clean, up-to-date lead records across platforms (PressOne, Zoho Desk, SalesIQ, Monday.com).
    • Coordinate with concierge, ops, and fulfillment teams to ensure customers move smoothly from interest to onboarding to installation.
    • Escalate blockers, surface lead trends, and suggest funnel optimizations. 
    • Help test scripts, outreach variations, and lead-handling frameworks.
    • Capture frequent questions, objections, and behavior patterns that can inform marketing and product decisions.

    What success looks like 

    Quantitative Metrics

    • Achieve or exceed weekly conversion targets from inbound leads.
    • Close high-quality leads in ≤72 hours from point of contact to KYC.
    • Maintain >95% data accuracy across lead status, contact info, and sales notes.
    • Ensure <5% lead drop-off during handoffs or follow-ups.

    Qualitative Excellence

    • Ownership of lead pipeline - no lead ignored, no call missed.
    • Clear, accurate reporting of progress and blockers to your manager.
    • High trust from customers and internal teams; you’re known as a closer and an operator.
    • Proactive mindset, you spot inefficiencies and propose improvements.

    Who You Are

    • You’re confident, articulate, and genuinely enjoy speaking to people.
    • You know how to ask the right questions, not just read from a script.
    • You’ve worked in telesales, inside sales, or customer-facing operations, and you’ve hit quota.
    • You’re fast, structured, and data-conscious. You can follow a CRM flow without missing a step.
    • You understand (or can quickly learn) the basics of solar solutions and payment plans.
    • You work well with little supervision and treat leads like high-value assets.

    Requirements 

    • 3 years in telesales, inside sales, customer acquisition, or CRM-heavy roles.
    • Proven history of lead conversion success.
    • Excellent spoken and written English.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
    • Strong phone presence, patience, and clarity in communication.
    • Experience in energy, fintech, or e-commerce is a plus (but not required).
    • Passion for renewable energy, financial access, or tech-for-good is a bonus
