Donor Relations and Fundraising Specialist at Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs

Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children with special needs, particularly those diagnosed with Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD. We are committed to providing support, resources, and opportunities for these children to thrive.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Fundraising Associate to join our team at Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs. We are a non-profit organization committed to supporting children with special needs. The Fundraising Associate will play a vital role in generating funds through grants and donors to support our mission of providing essential resources and services to special needs children and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Develop grant proposals and applications that effectively communicate the mission and goals, of the organization.
• Research, identify, and apply for relevant grant opportunities from government agencies and corporations.
• Manage the grant application process from start to finish, and maintain accurate records of grants
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic organizations.
• Develop and implement strategies to secure sponsorships, engage donors and increase contributions through personalized communication and events
• Work closely with program team to understand the impact of our programs and effectively communicate the organization\\\'s mission and accomplishments to donors and grantors.
• Work closely with the executive and program team to develop and implement fundraising strategies, plan, organize, and execute fundraising events and campaigns to generate support for the organization\\\'s mission.
• Collaborate with the executive team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, or any related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising and grant writing preferably within the nonprofit sector.
• Proven track record of successfully securing grants and donations from a variety of sources.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to write compelling grant proposals and donor appeals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders at all levels, manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively
