Job Description

• A steward's job involves ensuring smooth hospitality operations, focusing on guest experience, sanitation, and support for service staff, encompassing tasks like greeting guests, setting tables, stocking supplies, cleaning, and assisting kitchen/wait staff with food prep and service, all while maintaining high hygiene standards in restaurants, hotels, or events.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service:Greeting, seating, and assisting patrons; refilling drinks; answering basic questions; ensuring satisfaction.
• Table & Dining AreaSetup: Cleaning and setting tables with linens, cutlery, and condiments; adding decorations; clearing tables.
• Sanitation &Hygiene: Washing dishes/equipment, cleaning floors, maintaining spotless food prep and dining areas, and disposing of waste.
• Stock & Supply Management: Keeping serving stations stocked (napkins, utensils, condiments) and managing kitchen/bar inventory.
• Kitchen Support: Assisting kitchen staff with food prep (garnishing, salads) and unloading deliveries.
• Operational Support:Coordinating with other staff, assisting with opening/closing duties, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
