Director of Public Relations and Marketing at Caleb University

Location: Imota, Lagos

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and implement strategic integrated marketing, public and community relations plan to achieve annual target based on key performance indicators.
• Advise management on public and community relations issues.
• Facilitating the sponsorship of major University activities.
• Co-ordinates implementation of marketing and public relations plan through the University’s Website Open Education Resource and various social media handles and platforms and other web platforms.
• Co-ordinates the production of newsletters, reports, brochures and other institutional documents.
• Maintaining a regularly updated database of the audio-virtual recordings, digital photograph, and stakeholder’s data.
• Relate effectively with Internal and External Stakeholders.
• Manage corporate events
• Monitoring traditional and social media for University related information and coverage.
• To ensure visibility for achievements within (or by) the University.
• To ensure effective media relations.
• Public speaking at presentations, conferences or radio and TV interviews
• To ensure strategic community relations activities and facilitate collaborative funding for such activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A good Honours Degree in the Arts or Social Sciences preferably, Mass Communication, Public Relations or English from a reputable university. A Postgraduate Degree and membership of professional bodies will be an advantage.
• Must have at least eight (8) years cognate experience in marketing, corporate public relations.
