As a Digital Finance Analyst, you will be part of a forward-thinking team that leverages technology, data, and finance to provide high-impact decision support to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Digital Finance & Reporting Automation:
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and automated reports using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate to support strategic finance decisions.
- Use SQL and data transformation tools to aggregate and cleanse large datasets for business and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to digitize manual finance processes, enhancing efficiency and data accuracy.
Strategic Decision Support:
- Leverage digital tools and analytics to provide real-time insights that guide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Support the CEO and leadership team by creating models and frameworks to evaluate key business initiatives and scenarios.
Data Analytics & Financial Modelling:
- Conduct robust financial analysis, scenario planning, and what-if modeling using tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
- Translate business data into clear, actionable insights and communicate recommendations for optimal business performance.
Process Improvement & Technology Enablement
- Identify process inefficiencies and deploy low-code/no-code automation tools to streamline workflows within the finance function.
- Act as a digital finance ambassador by championing the use of emerging technologies in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance, IT, operations, and strategy teams to ensure alignment and execution of enterprise digital finance strategies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional reporting and app solutions.
Presentation & Reporting:
- Prepare executive-ready dashboards, presentations, and business cases for senior leadership and external clients.
- Deliver concise and compelling insights through storytelling and data visualization.
Academic/ Professional qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized University
- A minimum of 5 O’ Level credits at two (2) sitting (including English and Mathematics)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in program management with a focus on tech, business analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proven experience working with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), SQL, and other analytics/reporting tools.
- Strong ability to coordinate, drive, and lead a team effectively
- Exposure to financial modelling, dashboard creation, automation of finance workflows, and digital reporting tools in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Professional certification or progress toward CFA, ACCA, ACA, CPA, or related qualifications is an advantage.
Technical competencies & Personal attributes:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, Excel, and financial modelling.
- Digital Finance Acumen: Experience with automating finance workflows, building digital dashboards, and transforming finance operations.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset, able to interpret complex data and drive strategic insights.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical concepts and business insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
