As a Customer Service Trainee (Collections), you will be responsible for assisting in the recovery of outstanding debts while maintaining positive customer relationships.
This entry-level role provides training and guidance to help you develop skills in customer service, negotiation, and debt collection processes.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction: Contact customers via phone, email, or chat to discuss overdue accounts and facilitate payment arrangements.
Debt Collection: Learn and apply company policies and legal guidelines for debt recovery while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
Account Management: Update customer accounts with accurate payment status, notes, and follow-up actions.
Negotiation & Resolution: Work with customers to find suitable repayment plans based on their financial situations.
Compliance & Policies: Follow regulatory requirements and company protocols to ensure ethical and legal collection practices.
Training & Development: Participate in training programs to enhance communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Customer Support: Provide general assistance to customers regarding their accounts, billing inquiries, and payment options.
Qualifications & Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with customer service software.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Previous customer service or call center experience (preferred but not required).
