    Content / Technical Writer

    Job Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Content/Technical Writer located in Lagos. The role involves researching, writing and editing technical and promotional content, such as instruction manuals, product descriptions, and marketing materials. The role also requires working with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and marketing professionals.

    • Collaborate with marketing team to create communication theme and writing deliverables
    • Attend brainstorming sessions to develop marketing and communication strategy
    • Identify industry trends by reviewing related literature searches
    • Communicate with medical experts, patients, or representatives from partner companies for medical resources and verifications
    • Work with Digital Marketing Manager to conduct interviews with subject matter experts, healthcare thought leaders and providers about medical breakthroughs
    • Collaborate with Marketing team to develop and implement brand writing guidelines
    • Ensure that all documents adhere to our writing guidelines, and are appropriately stored and organized
    • Conduct research on [illnesses, diseases, diagnosis, clinical studies, and medical products]
    • Write and edit high-quality medical articles, journals, white papers, brochures, regulatory documents, and product manuals about partner brands and related healthcare materials such as [new medicinal discoveries/treatments, educational materials, clinical research, and product instructions].
    • Obtain permission of researchers to cite their work
    • Thoroughly study reports and cross-check information
    • Conduct frequent and thorough quality control checks on each submission
    • Maintain timelines and workflow of writing assignments
    • Complete writing assignments in a timely manner
    • Take ownership of writing projects and assignments

    Qualifications

    • B.Sc in a medical science, communication, or a research course (2nd Class Upper)
    • M.Sc in medical science or research (added advantage)
    • 2+ years in medical or pharmaceutical writing
    • Excellent Communication Skill
    • Excellent technical writing skill
    • Ability to manage multiple writing projects and prioritise
    • Excellent analytical skill
    • Excellent literature research skill
    • Ability to both collaborate and work independently
