Community Liasion Officer at Geoplex Drillteq Limited. - Nigeria

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain strong, respectful relationships with community leaders, youth groups, stakeholders, and local government representatives.
• Serve as the first point of contact for all community-related matters, ensuring timely and effective communication.
• Promote Company as a partner of choice within the host community.
• Support the implementation of community engagement strategies and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
• Monitor community dynamics and provide regular reports on issues, risks, and opportunities.
• Represent the company at community meetings, cultural events, and stakeholder forums.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure alignment between company operations and community expectations.

Requirements:

• Must be an indigene of Burutu Community, Delta State.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in public relations, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably as a CLO or in community engagement within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of local customs, culture, and community structures.
• Demonstrated experience in public relations, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
