    Commis Chef

    Responsibilities

    • Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef-in-charge.
    • Receive deliveries and verify that all ordered items have been delivered in good quality.
    • Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or finished supplies.
    • Plating and presenting meal items according to the Chef-in-charge’s instructions
    • Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators and freezers.

    Requirements

    • A Degree, Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts.
    • At least 2 years work experience.
    • Proven commercial kitchen experience.
    • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
