The CNG Commercial Lead will be responsible for spearheading the identification and assessment of new CNG facility locations, leading gas expansion initiatives, and actively prospecting new customers within the bulk and commercial sales segments. The role will focus on developing a robust pipeline of long-term volume contracts, driving strategic negotiations, and crafting competitive market offerings that ensure optimal fleet utilization, strong profitability, and high customer satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Conduct site assessments and feasibility analysis for proposed gas facility locations in line with technical, commercial, and regulatory benchmarks.
Lead the identification and development of new gas infrastructure projects (CNG, LPG, skid plants, etc.) from concept through to commissioning.
Liaise with relevant regulatory agencies to secure all required permits, licenses, and approvals for pre-construction and operational readiness.
Monitor and support the construction and installation phases of gas facilities, ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
Track and process all statutory documentation and renewals, ensuring continuous regulatory compliance across all expansion sites.
Identify and prospect for new commercial and industrial clients for gas services and coordinate with internal teams to structure market-competitive offerings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (Management, Accounting, Finance), Engineering or related discipline is required
Relevant certifications in project management or regulatory compliance will be an advantage.
Experience working with gas regulatory bodies (e.g. DPR/NMDPRA, SON, or Ministry of Petroleum Resources).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a gas company
Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s downstream gas (CNG/LPG) regulatory environment and licensing procedures.
Proven experience in managing infrastructure feasibility studies, site development, and multi-stakeholder project coordination.
Commercial acumen with the ability to translate infrastructure into revenue-generating opportunities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting abilities.
