    Chief Finance Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • In charge of budget development, budget management, cost–benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and securing of new funding.
    • Develop financial strategies to ensure stability and growth.
    • Manage risk, compliance, and financial reporting.
    • Optimize cost structures and drive profitability.
    • Plan, develop, manage, execute, and measure approved organizational budgets.
    • Advise Management on any matters relating to financial planning and organizational risk analysis and management, compliance, controls and governance.
    • Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc. to prepare and present reports that reflect the company’s monthly financial performance and on request.
    • Collaborate with Departmental, Business Unit and Management in making business decisions that ensure income generation initiatives, incorporate sound financial controls and efficient processes whilst meeting business need.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (a Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage).
    • Membership in at least one of the following professional bodies: IIA, ICAN, ACCA, CITN, or their equivalent etc.
    • A minimum of 10 years cognate experience, with at least 4 years in a financial managerial position.
    • Experience in the IT industry is required.
    • Strong experience of working with the Board of Directors.
    • Certification on any Financial Modelling application is an added advantage.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Proven administrative, leadership and management experience in the areas of strategic planning, analysis and organizational development.
    • Experience in devising and implementing strategic development and resource plans, particularly in the areas of service development, staff development and the management of change.
    • Significant demonstrated experience of preparation of management and annual accounts, business analysis and management information and the development, maintenance and monitoring of management information systems and procedures.
    • Certification with ISACA-CISA, NDPR.
    • Knowledge and application of governance, risk and compliance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, Lean, Six sigma.
    • Six Sigma Green belt certification or higher
    • Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
