Business Manager- Public Sector Directorate (Ekiti)
Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the team, ensuring the achievement of business targets including deposit growth, risk asset creation, fee income generation, and value-chain growth, while fostering a high-performance culture.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the public sector to expand the bank's market share.
Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and enhance existing relationships.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies and decisions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across key public sector segments, including but not limited to Accountant General, Commissioners of Finance, Heads of MDAs, and other government owned entities.
Lead the relationship team in serving public sector customers, to ensure consistent service excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, and seamless customer engagements.
Coordinate with internal departments to deliver financial solutions to customers within the approved TAT.
Lead the preparation and management of the team’s budget, including scorecard metrics, marketing spend,and CAPEX requirements, and ensure effective KPI tracking.
Ensure full regulatory compliance and maintain strong credit quality and monitoring, with zero non-performing loans.
Identify potential risks in customer transactions and desk activities, and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
Motivate, coach, and develop team members through performance review, skill development, and consistent feedback to enhance productivity and morale.
Perform all other duties as may be assigned or delegated by the Group Head.
Oversee the Team activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
As part of the Bank’s Information Security requirements, maintain the security of all Information entrusted to the staff and comply with the principles and policies in the Information Security Handbook.
EDUCATION.
First degree;
Postgraduate or Masters’ degrees and professional qualifications are preferred but not mandatory;
Relevant certifications that demonstrate a strong understanding of the Nigerian public sector landscape, including government structures, and public finance, are an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE.
Minimum experience - 10 years relevant banking (marketing/business development) experience, with significant exposure to Public Sector customers and key stakeholders.
