    Business Development Manager (Travel Agency)

    Job Summary

    • The Business Development Manager (Travel Agency) will be responsible for driving growth and revenue for Fhemfel Travel through strategic partnerships, client acquisition, and market expansion.
    • The role requires a strong background in the travel and tourism industry, excellent networking skills, and proficiency in global distribution systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement business strategies to drive sales and expand the agency’s market share.
    • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and corporate accounts.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other travel service providers.
    • Lead the design and promotion of travel packages tailored to client needs.
    • Use Amadeus (and other GDS platforms such as Galileo or Sabre) to make reservations, issue tickets, and manage bookings.
    • Negotiate competitive rates with service providers to maximize profitability.
    • Generate leads, manage client pipelines, and ensure high conversion rates.
    • Represent Fhemfel Travel at industry events, conferences, and networking platforms.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to guide strategy.
    • Oversee and support the sales team in achieving monthly and annual targets.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
    • Prepare and present regular business development reports to management.
    • Drive customer loyalty initiatives and ensure excellent client satisfaction.

    Key Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2years’ proven experience in business development or sales within the travel and tourism industry.
    • Strong network of contacts with airlines, hotels, and corporate clients.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in Amadeus is required; knowledge of other GDS platforms (Galileo, Sabre, etc.) is an added advantage.
    • Ability to develop creative strategies to attract and retain clients.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and travel booking systems.
    • Goal-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
