Business Development Manager at Ekolog (EKO Logistics & Food Company Ltd)

ROLE PURPOSE

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth, securing strategic contracts, expanding Ekolog’s client base, and optimizing asset utilization (trucks, logistics real estate, and partnerships). The role focuses on commercial execution, not theory, converting opportunities into signed contracts and recurring income.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE OF WORK

• Revenue Growth & Deal Origination
  • Identify, pursue, and close corporate logistics contracts, including:
  • Dedicated truck haulage
  • Long-haul and short-haul distribution
  • Fleet leasing and managed transport solutions
• Develop monthly and quarterly revenue pipelines with defined deal values and close timelines.
• Convert warm and cold leads into signed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Achieve agreed monthly revenue and margin targets

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Transport Management, or related field
• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in:
  • Logistics business development
  • Haulage, transport, or supply chain services
• Proven track record of closing B2B contracts
• Strong negotiation and commercial structuring skills
• Understanding of Nigerian logistics terrain and corridors
