    Bar Manager

    ‎Department: Food & Beverage (F&B)
    ‎Reports To: Director of Food & Beverage / Restaurant & Bar General Manager
    ‎Direct reports: Assistant Bar Manager, Head Bartender, Bartenders, Bar Supervisors, Bar Servers, Barbacks. 

    ‎Position Summary

    ‎The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s bar and lounge venues, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, beverage quality, and operational efficiency. This role demands a dynamic and engaging professional with a passion for luxury hospitality, exceptional mixology knowledge, and a proven ability to lead and inspire a team.

    ‎The Bar Manager will drive beverage innovation, uphold brand standards, manage profitability, and ensure a refined guest experience consistent with the prestige of a luxury hotel environment.

    ‎Key Responsibilities

    ‎Operational Excellence

    • ‎Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring seamless service and adherence to hotel and brand standards.
    • ‎Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all bar operations.
    • ‎Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards as per local regulations.
    • ‎Coordinate with other F&B outlets and departments (kitchen, banquet, purchasing, finance) for smooth operations.
    • ‎Monitor bar ambiance, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.

    ‎Guest Experience & Service Quality

    • ‎Maintain an exceptional level of personalized service aligned with a luxury hospitality ethos.
    • ‎Handle guest feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring service recovery and guest satisfaction.
    • ‎Cultivate a strong rapport with guests and regular patrons to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
    • ‎Oversee the execution of signature cocktail programs, beverage pairings, and special promotions.

    ‎Beverage Program Management

    • ‎Curate and continuously update the beverage and cocktail menu, reflecting seasonal ingredients and global trends.
    • ‎Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B Director to create unique beverage pairings and themed experiences.
    • ‎Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and procurement of premium spirits, wines, and mixers.
    • ‎Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all beverages.
    • ‎Implement cost control measures and maintain targeted beverage cost percentages.

    ‎Team Leadership & Development

    • ‎Lead, motivate, and train a team of bartenders, mixologists, and bar servers.
    • ‎Conduct regular training sessions on mixology, service etiquette, product knowledge, and responsible service of alcohol.
    • ‎Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
    • ‎Manage team schedules, attendance, and performance appraisals.

    ‎Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

    • ‎Prepare and manage the bar’s P&L, budgets, and forecasts in coordination with the F&B Director.
    • ‎Monitor and control expenses, waste, and revenue performance against set targets.
    • ‎Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and compliance with audit standards.
    • ‎Prepare periodic reports on beverage sales, costs, and guest feedback.

    ‎Marketing & Promotion

    • ‎Partner with the marketing team to design and execute creative beverage promotions and events.
    • ‎Build relationships with suppliers and industry partners for sponsorships and collaborations.
    • ‎Represent the bar and hotel in industry events and mixology competitions.

    ‎Qualifications & Experience

    ‎Education:

    • ‎‎Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field.

    ‎Experience:

    ‎Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in bar or beverage operations within luxury hotels, premium restaurants, or upscale nightlife venues.

    ‎Technical Skills:

    ‎Deep knowledge of spirits, wines, mixology, and beverage trends.

    ‎Strong understanding of beverage costing, inventory control, and procurement.

    ‎Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    ‎Knowledge of local licensing laws and health & safety standards.

    ‎Soft Skills:

    ‎Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

    ‎Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

    ‎High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
