    Audio-Visual (AV) Technician – Livestream & Broadcast

    Role Overview

    The Audio-Visual (AV) Technician – Livestream & Broadcast is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of all broadcast and livestream systems. This includes managing video switching, encoding, streaming platforms, and signal flow for live services, events, and recorded productions.

    This role requires a high level of technical expertise, precision, and the ability to perform under pressure. The ideal candidate is experienced in live broadcast environments and is passionate about delivering flawless viewing experiences for global audiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Set up, configure, and operate livestream and broadcast systems for services, events, and media productions
    • Manage video switching, routing, and signal flow across multiple inputs and outputs
    • Operate and monitor streaming software, encoders, and broadcast platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, TV distribution)
    • Ensure high-quality video and audio transmission for live and recorded broadcasts
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real time during live productions
    • Collaborate with production teams, camera operators, and audio engineers to ensure seamless execution
    • Maintain and optimize streaming infrastructure, including network performance and redundancy systems
    • Record and archive broadcast content as needed
    • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in broadcasting and streaming
    • Ensure all broadcasts align with ministry standards for excellence and professionalism

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Broadcast Engineering, Media Technology, or a related field (preferred)
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in broadcast, livestream, or media production environments
    • Strong knowledge of video switching systems, encoders, and streaming technologies
    • Experience with broadcast software and platforms (e.g., OBS, vMix, Wirecast, or similar)
    • Understanding of networking concepts related to streaming (bandwidth, latency, redundancy)
    • Familiarity with video formats, resolutions, frame rates, and signal standards
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively under pressure
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and live event schedules
    • Experience in a ministry, church, or faith-based broadcast environment is highly preferred
    • Personal alignment with the mission, values, and spiritual foundation of Bible Davids Ministries is essential
