Assistant Financial Reporting Manager at Allied Food and Confectionary Services Limited (Burger King)

​​​​​​​Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal.
• Perform periodic physical audits of fixed assets to ensure accuracy of records.
• Calculate and record depreciation expenses according to company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Analyze financial transactions to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
• Interpret and apply IFRS accounting standards to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post IFRS-compliant accounting entries, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
• Stay updated on changes to IFRS standards and communicate implications to the finance team.
• Interpret and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to financial reporting and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP requirements in all financial transactions and reporting activities.
• Preparation of audit schedules and documentation for both internal and external audits.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACA or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on fixed assets and general ledger
• Experience in financial reporting within a QSR, Manufacturing, or Audit Firm will be an added advantage.
