    Assistant Director, Strategy, Planning and Research

    The Assistant Director, Strategy, Planning and Research will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic plans and research initiatives that support the organisation’s mission to improve healthcare delivery in Imo State. This role will be responsible for translating organisational objectives into actionable strategies, ensuring robust planning processes, and driving evidence-based decision-making. The position will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, directly impacting the effectiveness and sustainability of healthcare services.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and oversee strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and healthcare priorities.
    • Lead research initiatives to inform policy, operational improvements, and service delivery enhancements.
    • Manage the performance monitoring function, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of key metrics.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and best practice adoption.
    • Mentor and guide the Strategy Team to achieve departmental objectives.

    Qualifications

    • 10 -15 years’ experience in healthcare strategy, planning, research, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Management, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
    • Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives in a complex healthcare environment.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
    • Must be a resident of Imo State or open to relocation.
