We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations, distributor performance, and market expansion across Benue State and surrounding territories.
The ideal candidate should possess strong FMCG/beverage industry experience, with a proven track record in sales execution, distributor management, market development, and achieving volume growth targets.
Core Deliverables
Drive sales volume and revenue growth across assigned territories.
Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and market share.
Manage distributor performance to ensure achievement of sales targets.
Expand distribution coverage and identify new market opportunities.
Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and merchandising standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key trade partners.
Other Job Functions:
Monitor distributor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
Conduct regular market visits to assess sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
Track competitor activities and provide actionable market intelligence.
Ensure effective execution of trade promotions and sales initiatives.
Coach and support distributor sales teams to improve productivity and performance.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 4–6 years' experience in sales management within the beverage/FMCG industry.
Proven experience managing distributors and driving territory sales growth.
Strong understanding of route-to-market strategies and sales execution.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
Must have a good understanding of the Benue market and surrounding territories.
