Account Officer at Yomfield Nursery and Primary school

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining up-to-date student fee payment records.
• Issuance of invoices, receipts, and payment reminders to parents/guardians.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Monitoring school budgets and ensure adherence to financial plans.
• Reconciling bank statements and school financial accounts regularly.
• Handling payroll processing and staff salary administration.
• Working with auditors during audits and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory tax and pension regulations (e.g., PAYE, VAT, etc.)
• Liaising with banks and other financial institutions as needed.
• Assisting in procurement, vendor payment, and inventory control.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of all financial data.
• Provide financial support and analysis for school projects and capital expenses.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role (preferably in an academic institution).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,Excel etc.).
• Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
