Account / Inventory Officer at Excel and Grace Consulting

Job Summary

• The Account / Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records while ensuring accurate and efficient inventory control.
• The role combines financial accountability with stock management to support operational efficiency and informed decision-making within the solar systems business.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly and annual accounts
• Maintain proper accounting records, ledgers, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including taxes, filings, and audits
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and income to ensure financial stability
• Support budget preparation and ensure strict adherence to approved budgets
• Implement cost-control measures to minimize financial leakages

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory items, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and accessories
• Monitor stock levels to prevent stock-outs, overstocking, and operational delays
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
• Track inventory movement and ensure proper documentation
• Identify and reduce wastage, damage, or loss of stock through effective controls

Reporting & Controls:

• Ensure zero to minimal financial discrepancies or inventory variances
• Provide reliable financial and inventory data to support management decisions
• Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation
• Recommend improvements to financial and inventory control systems

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting and inventory management
• Knowledge of accounting software and inventory systems
• Experience in solar, electrical, or engineering-related companies is an advantage
