To oversee the financial operations across their outlets in Ikoyi and Lekki Phase 1, they have engaged Matog Consulting to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Accountant to man the Finance Unit.
The Role
Reporting to management, the successful candidate will take full control of the day-to-day financial activities. You will ensure the accuracy of financial records, manage costs specifically related to the food industry, and provide strategic insights to drive profitability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Status: Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA).
- Experience: Minimum of 4 – 5 years of post-NYSC work experience.
- Sector Experience: Experience in the Food & Beverage, Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), or Hospitality sector is highly desirable.
- Location Knowledge: Familiarity with the Ikoyi and Lekki business corridors is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in popular accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books. Advanced Excel skills are also required.
Key Responsibilities (Job Description)
- Financial Operations: Manage all accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and the general ledger for both locations.
- Cost & Margin Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of food costs, portion control, and pricing strategies to optimize profit margins on À la Carte menus.
- Daily Reconciliation: Ensure meticulous daily reconciliation of sales from dine-in and online delivery platforms to identify discrepancies early.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely remittance of all statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension) to regulatory bodies.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports, including profit & loss statements and cash flow forecasts, to aid management decision-making.
- Internal Control: Develop and enforce financial policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
