Depot Superintendent at Beacongate Limited

Principal Accountabilities:
Responsible for safe handling, storage, movement of petroleum Product including receipt and withdrawal of product to and from the Storage tanks respectively, all in accordance with Quality Control and Operating Standards.

To manage depot performance

• Ensure that inspection and repair is carried out in accordance to issued standards and criteria
• Provide training as required in order to main standards and criteria
• Set performance indicators in terms of operations and manpower efficiency
• To carry out depot audits and other inspection as required on all equipment types.
• To close gaps/findings and recommendation from audits and inspections.
• Supervise correct recording of all stock movement / withdrawals.
• Operate correct Emergency Procedures in the event of incidents in conjunction with HSE
• Maintain companies Policies on Facility checks
• To build and maintain working relationships with our customers
• To assist and support projects and reporting
• To provide technical assistance as required by other staff
• Support procurement and logistics in project implementation 
• To validate all relevant manual invoices as required

Nature and Scope:

• Trained and competent in managing safety associated with the handling of petroleum products and aviation Products.
• Trained and competent in all procedures associated with the handling of Aviation Products and into-plane refuelling operation.
• Working knowledge of, and implement as necessary, Company Safety and Emergency Procedures.
• Promote company safety culture.
• Carryout Risk & Hazard assessment.
• Daily planning of loading and other operations.
• Maintain all necessary records on product quality and activity.

Background / Qualifications / Skills required:

• Numerate and Computer literate
• A graduate but additional qualification is an added advantage
• Good oral & written language
• Previous experience in Depot Operations (an advantage)
• Previous experience in Petroleum Industry (an advantage)
• Good communication & Interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Flexible to work demands - May require long working hours
