    Programme Officer (Admin)

    Reports To: Executive Director

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, organize, conduct, supervise and coordinate functions and activities concerned with programme and human resources development and management, supplies logistics, and general administrative support services.
    • Contribute to the preparation of project proposals for funding, as well as the related reports, including development and updating of reporting guidelines, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reports.
    • Produce Consolidated annual and half-year work plans and timed progress reports to meet agreed deadlines and donor requirements.
    • Review, analyze, and interpret papers, magazines, and legislation to keep the Executive Director informed and up to date on all financial and economic matters that may impact on AHI funding and operations.
    • Advise the Executive Director on administrative issues and keep her informed of all administrative actions including security of the organization and members of staff,
    • Purchase and maintenance of equipment, stocks and assets,
    • Oversee the organisation’s internal and external communication process to ensure that they contribute to AHI’s efficiency.
    • Contribute to the evaluation of the performance of programme and administrative staff and advising the Executive Director on staff matters.
    • Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time by the Executive Director.

    Qualifications & Requirements
    Mandatory:

    • Degree in Management / Business Administration
    • 5(Five) years work experience including three years in a similar position at senior level.
    • Excellent numeric, analytical, and communication skills
    • Team leadership qualities/experience
    • Certification in Personnel and Office Management
    • High level personal integrity and honesty
    • Ability to pay attention to details
    • Familiarity with key national and international implementing support and donor organizations in SRH.
    • Sensitive and caring but firm and decisive, able to provide leadership to Admin Team

    Desired:

    • Knowledge of NGOs particularly youth-serving NGOs in the health and social sector
    • Familiarity and varied experience with general sexual and reproductive health programming involving advocacy, IEC, service provision, and training.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and deadline.
    • Master’s degree in Management / Business Administration will be an advantage
