Senior Accountant at Padua Petroleum Nigeria Limited (PPNL)

Job Description

• Managing day-to-day activities
• Preparing accounts and tax returns
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Administering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure
• Auditing financial information
• Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans and financial statements
• Analyzing accounts and business plans
• Tax planning services with reference to current legislation
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis
• Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget
• Management of Company, JVs and Subsidiaries accounts
• Payment and filling of sales tax (VAT) per expenditure vouchers for approval
• Payroll administration and processing of other related payments to vendors and contractors
• Liaises with external bodies such as Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) and Lagos Internal Revenue Services (LIRS), etc.
• Filling of tax returns.
  

Requirements

• 3-5 years of oil and gas accounting and analysis experience
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related course required
• ICAN/ACCA Membership is an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Strong analysis and financial modelling skills with advanced use of Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
• Strong presentation skills with advanced use of Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation tools
• Advanced skills in other Microsoft Office applications, Word, Outlook, etc.
