    Legal Officer/ Admin and Document Manager

    UNIT: PEIWA Admin

    REPORT TO:

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Responsible for maintaining clients records from indication of interest to registration of Sublease and monitoring various court cases. It involves client engagements, keeping financial records of clients and audit of the plots in various gardens, monitoring compliance with ELGC Guidelines during construction and liaising with the various law firms for PEIWA court case.

    Knowledge Required:

    Candidate is expected to have experience in the following areas:

    • Monitoring court cases and liaising with law firms in handling cases.
    • Providing legal advice on legal issues, potential liabilities and possible course of action.
    • Contract drafting and agreement review.
    • Relationship management of subsidiaries – international and local.
    • Registration of forign companies.
    • Board of directors meeting management
    • Regulatory agencies compliance management  
    • Land legal processing and documentation.
    • Monitoring court cases and liaising with law firms in handling cases.
    • Providing legal advice on legal issues, potential liabilities and possible course of action.
    • Contract drafting and agreement review.
    • Relationship management of subsidiaries – international and local.
    • Registration of foreign companies.
    • Board of directors meeting management
    • Regulatory agencies compliance management  
    • Land legal processing and documentation.
    • Monitoring of construction compliance with the internal guidelines.
    • Compilation of financial reports and clients’ updates.
    • Proper documentation of soft and physical copies of documents i.e. receipts, offers, application forms etc.
    • Preparing of compliance reports e.g Scuml report (EFCC) and providing monthly financial update for the Finance Unit.
    • Liaising with Government agencies, Bank and ministries on documentations - survey plan, registration of sublease agreements
    • Preparing and executing sublease agreements.

    Desired Qualifications and Skills:

    • Must be a Lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar
    • Must have 4-5 years’ experience in active Law/Litigation Practice
    • Must be computer literate and have adequate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Must be able to effectively communicate across different levels
    • Must be able to relate with people – internally and externally
