    Legal Associate

    Responsibilities

    • The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):
    • Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to the organization’s operations.
    • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, agreements, memoranda, and legal correspondence.
    • Assist in reviewing contracts and ensuring they comply with legal standards and company policies.
    • Support the legal department in managing regulatory and compliance requirements.
    • Prepare legal summaries, reports, and briefing notes for internal use.
    • Maintain and organize legal files, records, and documentation.
    • Assist with preparation of documents for litigation, dispute resolution, or regulatory submissions where required.
    • Liaise with internal departments to provide basic legal support and guidance under supervision.
    • Monitor updates in relevant laws and regulations that may affect the organization.
    • Provide administrative support to the legal team when required.

    Educational Qualification and Skills:

    • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized institution.
    • Called to the Bar (preferred depending on jurisdiction).
    • 0–2 years of relevant legal experience (internship or NYSC experience may be considered).
    • Basic understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
