Bursar at Peter University

Duties

• The Bursar is Chief Financial Officer of the University and He/She is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of financial affairs of the University.
• The Bursar shall among other duties:
  • Advice the Vice-Chancellor, Governing Council and Board of Trustees on financial matters
  • Prepare and implement the University's annual budget
  • Ensure proper maintenance of financial records and accounts
  • Supervise revenue generation, expenditure control and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies and audit requirements.

Qualifications / Experience

• The candidate for the post must possess a Degree or HND in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or related discipline from a recognized University, evidence of NYSC Certificate, plus at least of Ten (10) years cognate experience.
• Membership of a recognized Professional accounting body, such as, Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN), Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) or equivalent is an added advantage.

Salary

• Salary and other conditions shall be as approved by the Governing Council and in Accordance with University regulations.

Tenure

• He/she shall hold the office for a single term of five (5) years.
