    School Administrator

    Job description

    • Policy making, conceptualizes the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out the total school program.
    • General Coordination: ensures that the school program is compatible with the legal, financial and organizational structure of the school system.
    • Defines the responsibilities and accountability of staff members and develops plans for interpreting the school program to the pupil.
    • Administering the 'student lifecycle' from registration or admission to graduation or leaving;
    • Servicing committees including academic boards, governing bodies etc
    • Providing administrative support to an academic team
    • Coordinating examination and assessment processes;
    • Maintaining high levels of quality assurance,
    • Using information systems and preparing reports;
    • Managing budgets and ensuring financial systems are followed;
    • Liaising with partner institutions, other institutions, external agencies, government departments and prospective pupils;
    • Organizing and facilitating a variety of educational or social activities.
    • Maintenance of all School property and ensure efficient record keeping

    Desired Skills and Experience
    Ability to deal positively with change;
    Strong interpersonal skills, to relate effectively with others at different levels including students, academics and colleagues in other areas of education administration;
    Good written communication skills;
    Being a good team member;
    Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively;
    IT skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and use of the internet.
