We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, cutting-edge art director / senior designer who will take our creative to a new level.
The Art Director is responsible for the creative output of the company, with oversight of the creative team and creative processes; the ideation, presentation and execution of a wide variety of client creative needs; the cost-effectiveness and creative quality of client projects, and the operational readiness of the creative team. Works to direct the planning, development, and/or implementation of creative services as requested for clients.
We are looking for a leader who has experience with ideation and the pitch process, along with creating marketing materials, event branding, interactive media, video storytelling and print.
Responsibilities
Developing powerful and valuable connections between client’s needs, the strategy and creative work to meet those needs, while also being capable of going beyond what clients can imagine. Playing a key role in preparing and delivering client creative presentations and creative updates.
Guiding our clients through strategy and creative development.
Working with client services, creative and production resources to ensure that deadlines and client budgets are adhered to, and client expectations are exceeded.
Developing, maintaining and evolving brand and creative guidelines for efficiency and consistency.
Establishing best practice and process for cross-team collaboration, and ensure quality is monitored.
Leading and build a team to develop engaging creative work – anything from determining strategy, to designing visual identity, packaging, content, interactive and branded experiences.
Fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for a diverse group of individuals.
Optimizing the creative culture within the company by celebrating the team’s work online, in industry events, blog posts, and representing the company within the design community.
Qualifications
Previous creative department management experience, as well as the desire to lead a creative team.
Demonstrated experience in branding and other creative work in the B2B space.
Experience designing compelling brand systems, identities and communications across a variety of platforms.
3-5 years of experience in an agency-side leadership role.
Sense of humor and egoless ownership of projects.
Passion for simplicity and developing positive, collaborative creative culture.
Clear, thoughtful communicator who is skilled at building consensus.
Experience leading interdisciplinary teams
History of leading presentations to clients, large groups and comfortable in public speaking.
Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving.
Experience managing multiple projects and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
Strong verbal and writing skills.
Professional, efficient, organized, detail-oriented, have excellent follow-through, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
