Engineering Technician at Workforce Group

Reports to: Engineering Team Lead

Job Summary

• The Engineering Technician will be responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical and electrical appliances and assist the engineering team lead in solving technical problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists the engineering shift team lead and maintenance engineer in solving technical problems
• Carries out repairs as required on all mechanical and electrical appliances
• Monitors all electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
• Read dials and meters to determine amperage, voltage, electrical output and input at specific operating temperature to analyze parts performance
• Operates drill press, grinders, engine lathe, or other machines to modify parts tested or to fabricate experimental parts for testing
• Test equipment, using test devices attached to generator, voltage regulator, or other electrical parts, such as generators or spark plugs
• Carries out all scheduled maintenance and update daily monitoring record
• Provides technical support to customers and employees.
• Ensures that all safety procedures are observed at the engineering workshop.

Job Requirements
In this position, you need to have:

• OND in Engineering or Technician/ Trade test certificate
• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience as an Engineering Technician or similar role.
