    Warehouse Manager

    Details

    • The Warehouse Manager will maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing programmes, operational and personnel policies and procedures. He or she will also be involved in maintaining warehouse staff by selecting, orienting and training.

    Qualification
    The candidate:

    • Must have a B.Sc. or HND in an Agricultural Engineering with at least a Second Class Upper Division
    • His undergraduate must be on seed or grain storage
    • Between 1-3 years working experience

    Pest Controller


    Details

    • The Pest Controller will ensure that appropriate chemicals are sprayed to combat infestation or pest attacks, identify invading pests and ensure safety measures are observed during spraying application.

    Job Description

    • Spray chemical solutions, powders, and gases on or near farms or warehouse
    • Identify invading pests, including rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitos, or bed bugs.
    • Remove dead rodents after extermination.
    • Ensure farm or building is empty when product is applied.
    • Air out residence after application.
    • Inspect property to ascertain wall and roof porosity and possible sites of pest invasion.
    • Access infested locations.
    • Pore pesticides over location.
    • Clean and remove pesticides after application.
    • Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
    • Measure area dimensions requiring treatment.
    • Clean and remove blockages to facilitate application.
    • Position and fasten edges of tarpaulins over building and tape vents to ensure air-tight environment and check for leaks.
    • Manage workers involved in application.
    • Check for possible leaks or exposure.
    • Utilize appropriate protective gear and equipment during application.
    • Power-spray chemicals onto surfaces.

    Qualification
    The candidate:

    • Must have a B.Sc. or HND in an Agriculture related field. A degree in Pest Control and Management will be an added advantage

    Agronomist


    Details

    • The Agronomist will be responsible for the production of certified class of hybrid and OPV seeds that meet strict genetic and physical quality parameters for domestic and international use.
    • His/ her activities include but are not limited to selecting fields, coaching growers, giving fertility recommendations, field scouting, scheduling harvest, performing production research and analyzing quality on the produced seed.

    • Oversight of grid soil sampling and disease prevention programs
    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly reports
