Location:
You will work from wherever you are, online, under the guidance of experienced leaders in sales and marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Calling and emailing potential clients.
Selling subscriptions to the Africa Conflict Monthly Monitor reports
Engaging with decision makers in the Corporate and Public Sector.
Maintaining high standards of professionalism.
Competencies and skills:
A minimum of three years Sales and/or Marketing experience required
Online sales experience is an added advantage
Basic Excel skills
Knowledge of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
E-mail skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate at all managerial levels
Good time-management skills
Flexibility in order to accommodate day-time tasks
Reliable internet access is essential.
Please note that this is a part-time position.
Salary:
Commission-based, starting at 15%, incremental increases up to 30%. The more you sell the higher the commission you earn. Contact us for more information.
Applicants must illustrate:
A strong interest and professional experience working with matters of conflict and related issues in Africa
At least seven years of professional experience
A portfolio of written work focusing on aspects of the African continent
A strong interest in African affairs illustrated in their CV
Applicants should be from Africa
This is a part-time, senior level vacancy.

Requirenments
The successful candidate should have:
Unique and pertinent insight into, and a background in, Africa's investment environment
Expertise in areas relating to the focus of this report, i.e. conflict and security issues in Africa.
We will consider other applicants provided their skill-set and experience match the position requirements, including writing and research ability and knowledge of Africa.
Current subscribers include CNN International, AngloAmerican, IBM, various universities such as MIT, government institutions and organisations, Media24, KPMG and many more
No relocation is required.
