Senior Project Engineers at Habiba Balogun Consulting

Reports to: Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of a group of Project Engineers, CAD Drafters and resident site Engineer
• Good communication skills, good Presentation skills, good interpersonal relationship, Time management skill, and Leadership skill
• Prepare preliminary design, budget estimate, technical specifications and detail design for the various engineering systems
• Checking of drafted drawings and amendments
• Take off bills of quantities of designed systems
• Assists Project managers to supervise installation of at least one phase of the design and is knowledgeable in other phases.

Prospective candidates should have experience in:

• High Voltage Distribution, Low Voltage Supply & Distribution, Standby Generation Plant, Single & Three Phase Supply System, General Interior Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Street/Area/Flood Lighting, Studio/Auditorium/Arena Lighting, Fire Alarm & Detection System, DC Supply, Uninterrupted Power Supply, Telephone System, Staff Paging/Locating, Public address/Sound amplification, Radio/TV/CCTV Systems, Projection System, Advertising Display, Clocks, Data Communication, Lightning Protection
• Earthing & Bonding, Power factor Correction, Security Systems including closed circuit television, access control and intruder alarms, Building Services Monitoring and Control Systems

Qualification and Experience

• B.Sc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5 - 10 years of consulting engineering experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• E20 -11 HVAC Design Program
• Carrier HVAC equipment selection program
• HEVACOP M&E Design Program
• MEP / Revit- Computer AUTOCAD
• Drafting Program
• MS Project- MS office XP program-word, spreadsheet & Database
• Specification Export, Specification Generating Program.
• Elite Automatic fire sprinkler design
• National Engineering program specification (Database)

• Domestic Hot & Cold Water Systems, Laboratory/Industrial Waste Drainage, Sewage Pumping/Treatment, Incineration Plant, Waste Disposal Chutes, Irrigation, Water Treatment Plant, Swimming Pool, Medical/Laboratory Gas, Petrol/Fuel Oil Storage & Distribution, Vacuum Distribution, Steam Distribution, Fire Fighting (Hose reels, dry & Wet Risers, Sprinklers, Gas & Foam), Gas/Oil Fired Boilers, Packaged Steam Generators, Medium Temperature Hot Water Distribution, Central Water Chilling Plant and Chilled Water Distribution, General Ventilation (Supply/Extract), Low Velocity Air-conditioning, Building Management Systems, Escalators.
