Assistant Maintenance/Engineering Manager at Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited

Maintenance Operations

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities for production machines and utility systems.
• Ensure timely troubleshooting and repair of equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of plant equipment and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Supervise maintenance technicians, contractors, and engineering support staff.

Engineering & Projects

• Support the execution of engineering projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
• Participate in qualification and validation activities for new equipment and systems.
• Assist in monitoring engineering budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance costs.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and engineering records.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety regulations, and pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Promote workplace safety and ensure adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance activities are carried out according to approved schedules.

Utilities & Facilities Management

• Oversee the maintenance of utility systems including HVAC, boilers, generators, compressors, purified water systems, and electrical installations.
• Ensure uninterrupted utility supply to support production operations.
• Monitor facility conditions and coordinate repairs when necessary.

Team Management

• Assist in training and developing maintenance and engineering personnel.
• Prepare maintenance reports and provide regular operational updates to management.
• Foster teamwork and effective communication within the department.
