Job Description

• Plan, order, prepare cutting lists, and process meat according to the work plan and standards to maximise sales and gross profit.
• Ensure all new department associates receive proper training and supervision and will ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and displays.
• May include the preparation of meat products involving the use of grinders, power jacks, scales, wrapping machines, saws and knives.

• Managing meat processing (producing various meat cuts for sale)

Requirements

• Experience as a butcher in a modern supermarket or meat processing company or meat shop
• Proficient in meat merchandising and retail packaging
• 3-5 years prior working experience as a butchery manager/supervisor/similar role
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any field
