    • The responsibilities include developing strong relationships with key-customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports.     • Formal training with Spin Selling, TACK Xerox, Kenneth Smit or Miller Heiman is a distinctive advantage;
    • Proven work experience as an Sales Manager or Account Manager Key Accounts or other relevant experience;
    • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level;
    • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel);
    • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs;
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail;

    Job Description

    • Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the GROUP’s (Social)marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services for chapters in the area of marketing, communications and public relations. Coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the GROUP.
    • The position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and serves as a member of the commercial management team. This position participates with the Board of Directors, Executive Director and other management staff in charting the direction of the GROUP, assuring its accountability to all constituencies, and ensuring its effective operation.
    • Within the GROUP, the position has primary working relationships with the Chief Commercial Officer, commercial management team and the service providers. Outside the agency, the position coordinates, primarily, with the media and key-accounts.

    Responsibilities
    Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of:

    • A comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Group’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications;
    • All GROUP marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations, client acquisition and so forth.
    • Ensure articulation of GROUP’s desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the GROUP, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
    • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all GROUP publications.
    • Coordinate media interest in the GROUP and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
    • Act as the GROUP’s representative with the media.
    • Coordinate the appearance of all GROUP print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
    • Develop, coordinate and oversee programs, technical assistance and resource materials to assist chapters in the marketing, communications and positioning of their activities.
    • Provide counsel to chapters on marketing, communications and public relations.
    • Ensure that the GROUP regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity. Monitor trends.
    • Leads projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.

    Planning and budgeting:

    • Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the Chief Commercial Officer and the Executive Board.
    • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
    • Recommend short- and long-term GROUP goals and objectives to the Chief Commercial Officer
    • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing/communications/public relations function.
    • Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, not-for-profit management and governance, and the specific business of the GROUP and use this information to help GROUP operate with initiative and innovation.

    Expectations

    • Minimum of 7 years experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the supply chain management sector. Graduate Degree in a related field is highly desired.
    • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of (social) marketing, communications and public relations activities;
    • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills
    • Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel;
    • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media;

    Key Accountabilities

    • Direct responsibility for management and profitable growth of lubricant activities in the Country
    • Direct responsibility for achievement of plans and targets, including operational measures such as market share, Earning, Gross margin contribution, credit control etc
    • Work closely with the MBU’s Retail/C&I team and grow our market share.
    • Review the Country’s monthly Lubricants business and provide commentaries and action plan to both Finance and Planning analyst and S&M Manager
    • Reports and provides feedback (Market conditions, sales information in Nigeria, prospecting activities, credit terms, competitors’ price, competitors’ data, technical services as driven by the market) to both the Sales & Marketing Manager, the C& I Manager and the Brand Coordinator.
    • Leads efforts to regularly communicate the operational excellence focus making sure that every S&M staff, customers, distributors and resellers in Nigeria are fully conversant with concepts, processes and compliance requirements and lubricant knowledge training.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans.

    Knowledge Management & Networking:

    • Grow strong relationships with business and public leaders. Communicate regularly with our biggest customers making sure that they are invited to business and social events throughout the year.
