    Primary Teacher

    Job Summary

    • We are looking to appoint creative and enthusiastic Primary Teachers.
    • Are you an experienced Primary Teacher with growth mind-set? Do you love learning and able to share what you have learned with others?
    • Are you able to work with pupils each day; as you explore new ideas, having fun learning with and from them? Then, our children need you!

    Job Requirements
    For your application to be successful, you must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be resident in Ibadan within reasonable commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan
    • B.Ed/BA/BSC/PGDE, gained from a reputable Institution
    • Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience working in a similar role
    • TRCN certification is a must
    • Be able to teach a full range of subject areas for this age group
    • Must have well developed teaching skills in the core subject areas (English, Mathematics and Science)
    • Be able to write legibly and willing to learn/adopt the school’s handwriting scheme
    • Confident in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Passionate about teaching and able to provide our pupils engaging and exciting learning experiences
    • Be able to produce and maintain high standard classroom learning displays
    • You must have excellent English Language skills (clear written, reading and spoken)
    • Have high expectations for behaviour, attainment and progress
    • Have effective classroom management skills and evidence of outstanding teaching skills
    • Have an understanding of the importance of pupil tracking and progress
    • Have thorough understanding of best practices in teaching
    • Have an appreciation of the importance of safeguarding in educational settings.

    Early Years Educator

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking to appoint an experienced Early Years Educator to work in our Early Years.

    Qualification, Experience and Skills

    • Must be resident in Ibadan and live within commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan
    • Minimum qualification required is (B.Ed/BA/HND/OND/PGDE) in English/Early Childhood Education or related; gained from a reputable university; plus a diploma or certificate in Montessori Education
    • Minimum 3 years post qualification experience and understanding of the British Curriculum gained from working in a similar role
    • Be able or willing to learn to teach phonics
    • Be able to teach early mathematics and literacy with clear understanding of appropriate teaching strategies
    • Be able to support young learners with handwriting skills development
    • MUST have creative skills such as music, dance, drama, art and crafts
    • You MUST have excellent English Language skills (clear written, reading and spoken)
    • Be proficient in the use of basic computer skills such as MS Word and the internet to support your work and the children’s learning
    • Have effective classroom management and teaching skills
    • Be confident in your abilities to engage children and extend their learning through play, enabling their emotional, social and educational development.
    • Be enthusiastic, innovative, creative and dynamic in delivering lesson plans that meet the needs of all children
    • Be able to produce and maintain a high standard age appropriate classroom displays
    • Be able to produce stimulating classroom and outdoor learning environments that promote independent learning
    • Have an appreciation of the importance of safeguarding in educational settings
    • You will be expected to demonstrate consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct
    • To complement your qualification and experience, you will come with patience, good sense of humour and great stamina to keep up with the needs and energy of young, lively children.

    Art and Design Teacher

    Job Summary

    • We seek an experienced Part-Time Primary Art and Design Teacher to join our team to teach one day a week.
    • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of art education within the British curriculum and a commitment to encouraging artistic expression in young learners.

    The successful candidate will be

    • An excellent teacher and subject specialist at primary level that can teach high quality art and design lessons to pupils at primary level ranging from year 1-6.
    • Confidently be able to teach children drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, pottery, sculpture and model making techniques
    • Confident in the use of computers and enthusiastic in using new technology to enhance learning.
    • Skilled at fostering independent, pupil-led learning
    • Maintain an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes artistic expression and appreciation.
    • Able to assess and evaluate students' artwork and progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

    Requirements

    • Must live within easy commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan.
    • B.A / HND Degree in Fine Arts
    • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Package; especially Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent spoken and written communications skills
    • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
