    Sales Team Lead

    Job Summary

    • We seek an experienced Sales Team Lead to drive growth in our palm oil and palm fruit derivatives business by leading a dynamic sales team to success.

    Position Overview

    • As the Team Lead for Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to expand Norsworthy Farms’ market share in palm oil and palm fruit derivative products.
    • Your role will be central in driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and mentoring a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • You will work closely with the Head of Sales and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Norsworthy Farms’ strategic goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales Strategy & Planning:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the palm oil and derivatives market.
    • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, competitive dynamics, and potential clients.
    • Set, monitor, and report on sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

    Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance the team’s selling skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages innovation and customer-centricity.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to increase market penetration and brand loyalty.
    • Resolve customer concerns and ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction by promoting Norsworthy Farms’ values and service excellence.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the customer portfolio.

    Sales Operations & Reporting:

    • Oversee the development of sales proposals, presentations, and contracts to ensure alignment with client needs and compliance with company policies.
    • Track and analyze sales metrics, providing regular performance reports to the Head of Sales.
    • Ensure the team adheres to company policies, pricing guidelines, and industry regulations.
    • Market Insights & Business Development:
    • Monitor trends in the palm oil industry and adapt strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to create tailored sales approaches and promotional materials.
    • Represent Norsworthy Farms at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to enhance visibility and generate leads.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the agriculture or FMCG sectors, with a focus on palm oil or similar products.
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

    Skills:

    • Strong leadership abilities, with a talent for coaching and motivating sales teams.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers at all levels.
    • Analytical mindset with experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.

    Maintenance Officer

    Position Overview

    • The Maintenance Officer is responsible for conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and executing repair work to keep Norsworthy Farms’ equipment and facilities in optimal condition.
    • This role is essential to minimizing downtime and ensuring that our production processes operate smoothly.
    • The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance work, along with a commitment to safety and quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    Preventive Maintenance:

    • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
    • Inspect production machinery and other equipment regularly, identifying potential issues and addressing them proactively.
    • Ensure all equipment is calibrated, lubricated, and adjusted according to operational standards.

    Repairs and Troubleshooting:

    • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.
    • Repair or replace defective parts, such as motors, bearings, belts, or gears, to ensure machinery is operational.
    • Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot complex issues and minimize production downtime.

    Facility Maintenance:

    • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
    • Perform minor repairs on doors, floors, lighting, and other facility components as needed.
    • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or complex maintenance projects.

    Record-Keeping and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Prepare maintenance logs and submit reports to the Maintenance Manager on completed work and outstanding issues.
    • Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies, requesting replenishments as needed.

    Health, Safety, and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities.
    • Ensure compliance with local and industry safety standards to maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
    • Participate in safety and training programs, staying current with best practices in maintenance and workplace safety.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • HND or BEng. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. A higher qualification is an advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the agricultural or manufacturing sectors.
    • Hands-on experience with maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, HVAC systems, and facility infrastructure.

    Skills:

    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to repair and maintain complex equipment.
    • Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and tools, as well as knowledge of basic plumbing and carpentry.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.

    Personal Attributes:

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to maintenance and repair needs.
